Fees

Fees are usually shared equally (but can be shared in any way you agree).

Fees are payable at the end of each session or otherwise as agreed.

The preferred method is payment by bank transfer.

Stephanie Morris Mediation is a private practice and does not offer mediation funded by legal aid.

Initial Meeting

The initial intake meeting with each client is charged at a fixed fee of £235 (VAT is not charged).

There will be separate intake meetings for each individual involved in the proposed mediation.

Mediation Sessions

Once mediation commences, the joint sessions are charged at £350 per hour (VAT is not charged). Each session usually lasts 1.5-2 hours, unless agreed otherwise.

Further charges at the same rate of £350 per hour are made to cover the cost of work undertaken between sessions, including subsequent correspondence, reviewing financial disclosure, and drafting asset schedules or any necessary interim proposals.

Cancellation
-
24 hours' notice is required for the cancellation of sessions without charge.

Cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice is charged at 50% of the appointment fee.

Please note that for joint sessions this means the full fee for both clients. The client that requested cancellation usually pays this, unless the cancellation was agreed by both clients.
